1-17-2009: "The hotel has 23 different themed rooms to choose from. It is also across the street from The Legends which is were the Cabelas and lots of great places to eat and shopping are. The rooms start at $100 a night and go up from there but trust me it is well worth the money and your sanity as a mom. We all need the chance to get away from our kids and just be a woman and enjoy adult time with our spouse without interruptions.

I wanted to let you know that my husband and I had the most incredible stay at the Chateau Friday night. Our room was very elegant and extremely comfortable. The ambiance was beyond describing. The minute we stepped foot in the front lobby we felt the warmth and very welcomed by the staff. The sparkling cider was delicious and we even purchased a bottle to take home to share. From the comfort of the bed to the delicious breakfast, we fell in love with the Chateau and will most definitely visit again...

7-14-2008: My husband and I stayed at the Chateau Avalon for our 25th wedding anniversary last week. I had printed a coupon for a free dessert during our stay there. When we checked in, I presented the coupon and was informed all [we] had to do was call when we wanted it, and they would bring it to the room. We called, and within minutes, the most wonderful chocolate mousse cake and chocolate tied cake were delivered to the room. The portions were good and the presentation on the plate was pleasant.

Overall, everything about the hotel, ambiance, service and food was wonderful. They also serve a full breakfast, that you choose from a menu the night before, and deliver it to your room. It was quite filling and very tasty.

I would recommend to all couples that they give the Chateau Avalon a try.

7-11-08: We stayed in the Mayan Ruins room for our 20th anniversary in June. At that time they offered couples massage, which we took advantage of. What a marvelous room, hotel, evening! We ordered food to go from a nearby restraunt because we wanted to spend all of our time in the room! Great tub, great ambiance... not in the least bit tacky or uncomfortable. We are going again in August!

8-23-04: An absoluate (sic) treasure, total diamond in the rough. Rooms are available for tour as well. Dual headed showers with bench, the linen is super soft and the restaurants are close. Total lovers get away.
